Ken Bloom

Ken brings over 25 years of executive leadership experience in leading manufacturing organizations, with a particular expertise in materials, packaging, aerospace and building products.  He has been involved with multiple Private Equity sponsors as CEO or in senior executive positions.  Under Ken’s leadership these organizations have achieved sustained profitable growth, both organically and through M&A.  Ken served as CEO for Preferred Compounding Corp., a highly successful Wingate Partners (“Wingate”) investment, which was sold to HEXPOL AB.  While at Preferred, Ken drove the growth of Preferred to become one of the industry leaders in North America.  This included expansion into Mexico by acquiring a European competitor in Mexico.  After selling to HEXPOL, Ken was hired by the company as CEO of North America and drove the business from $750MM annually to $1.1 Billion during his tenure.

Ken has had a long-term relationship with StoneTree team members since 2010. 

In addition to serving on the StoneTree Council, Ken is currently on multiple boards and does private consulting for various manufacturing businesses.   In the community, Ken is active in various education and health-related charities, and is on the board of Beach Point Condominiums. Ken enjoys golf, boating and spending as much time with his children and grandchildren as he can.

Ken has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University and his Master of Business in Finance from the University of Connecticut.  He has completed additional executive education programs at the Chicago Booth School of Business.
